The baby @ 23 weeks

We are officially moved to Colorado, Ryan just got back from picking up the last of our things we left behind in Idaho. I have to say, I really am going to miss Idaho, and part of me is really sad knowing we most likely will never live there again. Milly is an true Idahoan just like her mom, and I will never let Ryan teach her otherwise..haha!! Luckily, we have family and friends we can visit there often.

@ 23 weeks:
I have been feeling great! I feel the baby moving regularly, and it is amazing. I forgot how just that makes the whole pregnancy worth it on it's own. However, Ryan is still yet to feel her move, and it may be a while longer-due to the fact that my placenta is in front this time--which the Dr. said is totally fine as long as it doesn't drop down. So I try not to rub it in too often when I feel her wiggling around. :) I just made an appointment with a Doctor in Denver that Kristin (Ry's sis who is a Labor and Delivery nurse) recommended. I will see him at the end of the month.

HALLOWEEN!!

We went to the mall and did a little trick or treating there, then we went with Sarah to her Trunk or Treat. We had a lot of fun. Milly really loves her girls so it was fun to be there with them!

I had to post this pic of Milly, I saw and thought holy crap this looks exactly like Ryan's little sister Annie

Mine said BOO OBAMA!! HAHAHA
This is a cute video after the girls got all hopped up on sugar

Everything is bigger in TEXAS!!

We got back from our very long trip to Texas a couple days ago. It went really well. We went to look at a job for Ryan, and he got it! Which is so great, and means we will most likely be moving to Denver before the end of the year. While there, Milly and I got to go out and do some fun things, and here and there Ryan joined in as he could.
We went to the Children's Museum of Houston:
Grabbing a bite to eat at the restaurant.
At the Vet, Milly taking care of the puppies.

Grocery shopping, making sure the apples taste ok.
Buying her food, a new concept Milly is starting to catch on to.

Cookin us some Pizza

Painting!!

At the Dance club, haha! this Pic so funny!
They had a really cool outdoor part. Milly is standing in the damn you can open and close to let water through.

We got to meet up with Uncle Danny while we were there too!! YAY! It was so great to see him too. It took Milly a bit, but by the end she wouldn't stop saying his name! :)

We went to the Houston Zoo. It is seriously so BIG! I couldn't believe it. We spent almost 4 hours there, and only saw about half of it!  There was everything you could imagine. Milly of course really loved it.
There was a whole playground area.

A carousel, that Milly rode 4 times in a row, and then I had to take her off it bawling. But really, I'm prego I can only take going in circles for so long!! HA! :)

I thought this was just hillarious... has anyone seen these in a zoo before???? Enough said.

There was a choo choo train, Milly's new favorite thing. She loves finding trains everywhere we go.

There was a whole area filled with goats, and brushes were available for the kids to brush out the goats fur. Milly absolutely loved this part. I think it was her favorite part of the zoo. She wasn't scared of them at all, and followed them all over trying to pet them.

We did a few other things that I didn't get pictures of :( but it's ok, we were just having so much fun I totally spaced bringing out the camera! We went to Chuck-E-Cheeses, for Milly's (and mine) first time. She really like it and we got her a little purse with fur on it, with her tickets, that she like to carry around. Ryan I think had the most fun though, you should have seen how serious he was at winning Milly lots of tickets...haha OH BOY!! :)
We went to a few different malls and outlets, including the biggest mall in Texas, which is also 4th in the nation--and it was GIANT. It had a carousel in it (Milly had to ride) and tons of stores I could never afford, but it fun walking around.
We also went to the Boardwalk at Kemah, it's like a old fashioned Boardwalk on the Coast, it was really fun and pretty. Plus, we went there expecting to pay 20 bucks for me and Ryan each and then some $$ for Milly and we totally scored--Milly was free, and the parent that went on all the rides with her was also free!! So we just bought Ryan a wrist band and soaked up all the fun rides. We did the carousel again, like a million times, she just couldn't get enough of it!

Milly @ 18 Months!!

It's a little late, but I wanted to wait for her pictures to get back to us!!

Milly Monster at 18 Months:

-weighed in at 24 lbs
-34.5 inches

Milly is our first little girl, and so of course she is and always will be such a special spirit in our home. We feel her genuine love throughout the days in several ways. She will play with her stuffed animals and babies a lot and I mean A LOT. She likes to take care of them, read to them give them kisses. She is going to be a great big sister. She likes to play mommy and put her baby to sleep. She will lay her down (always on a pillow, even if she has to go all the way upstairs to get one) put her blanky on her and says "sshhhhh."  She also really loves real animals, she is not scared of them at all! She loves to pet them and feel their fur.

Milly also is very particular, example: when I tuck her in at night she always has to have her blanky and stuffed animals in just the right spot in her crib-- her blanky by her right cheek and tucked in-between her legs while she falls asleep on her left side. And her animals, well that changes every night and I NEVER get it right the first time, I usually arrange them for her and she then points them to new spots. Silly girl! Alongside with being particular comes her VERY, VERY, VERY strong willed personality. She has been that way, I believe, since the day she was born. And not in a naughty way, just when she decides what she wants, or what she thinks is right, good luck trying to convince her otherwise!

Milly makes us laugh on a regular basis now. She will say the funniest things. She says just about anything now and is saying new words every day that I haven't a clue where she learned them! Some of them are still a little hard to understand, but after asking what a couple of times I usually can figure it out. She is great at communicating with me and I rarely have a problem understanding her.  She loves to sing, when I am off doing my own thing, I often hear her singing to her baby or while she is playing with toys, just humming along or making up her own tune. And boy oh boy how that is really music to my ears!

Milly always has and still does dislike any men she doesn't know. I don't know what it is, but ever since she was little, she was much more likely to go to a female first (which I of course don't really mind. :)

She is becoming a better eater everyday. We struggled there for a while, but now she is a total meat lover, mostly beef! She runs around like crazy and is SO fast now, if she takes off I usually find myself running after her.  She has all her teeth!! Thank heavens, she was such a cranky teether, I am so grateful to be out of that phase!

Lately she asks for 'two' of EVERYTHING! I don't know what it is, but 2 is the magic number with anything! Here favorite books are the touch and feel animal books, and her favorite movie is NEMO and Tom and Jerry as a close 2nd. Finding Nemo is where she grew the love for her first pet Crush, her baby turtle.

Milly absolutely hates to brush her teeth, back to the stubborn thing. It is a fight EVERY day, no doubt about it. So hard that I normally make Ryan deal with it, because it is so annoying.

Milly is great at reading, and looking at pictures in the books. She can do this for long long periods of time. And she will sit on my lap with me for as long as I will keep on reading to her. She just doesn't get bored with it. And the other thing that NEVER bores her : WATER!! She is a little fish, she will put her whole head under water and hold her breathe- on purpose! When I get ready in the mornings she will just sit on the counter with her feet in the sink and play in the water for as long as I will let her. Some days she talks me into letting her take multiple baths, if I say no, lately she will just get in, clothes on, and hope I turn the water on for her. Thankfully she has not yet figured out how easy it is to turn the water on herself!!

Her hair is to her mid-back, she has always had a lot of hair, and I now am enjoying getting to be more creative with it. It is lightening up quite a bit though. She doesn't always like getting her hair done, although when I show her in the mirror the end result she always says "tute." She likes to be cute. She will dance around the house to the madagascar soundtrack, and is VERY good at it :) but mostly she loves the attention she gets from us laughing and saying she's cute and funny! She is always dressing up in tutus and jewelry, or anything at the time she thinks is fancy. For example: the other night I put her in footy PJ's because our house was much colder than usual. She has been sleeping in shorts and a short sleeved shirt lately. So I think she had kinda forgotten about the footy kind. Well she didn't sleep very well at all that night, so bad in fact we ended up letting her come into our room. Well every so often she would wake either me or ryan up and say "tute" or "pretty" pointing to her PJ's. I seriously think she couldn't sleep because she was SO excited about her cool pajamas! HAHA!
Milly is very good at playing with other kids, she is a remarkable sharer and play wells with almost anyone she meets. She loves other kids, and has no problem going up to them and just start up playing with them.

Milly hates for either me or Ryan to leave her side. She likes us both to be with her ALL the time, some days she even like to take 2 baths-one with me and then another with Ryan! She is a cuddle bug too. She likes to lay on us, in the mornings she will come into bed with us and just take over laying all over us for a while. She will just lay on Ry's shoulder randomly for long periods of time, just hugging him. I hope we can both remain close with her as she grows older.

Ok. Milly absolutely loves her Nana J., probably more than anyone! She talks about her non-stop ever since this last visit. I don't know what it is, but no matter how long it's been since we've seen her last, Milly never needs time to warm up to Nana, she just jumps out of my arms and into hers--and I usually can't get her back!! She must really feel safe and loved with her, because aside from Ryan and I, there is no one else she asks this way with.

Milly is a great sleeper, she takes one nap a day, for 2 hours or so, and then goes to bed at 7 and sleeps until 7:30- 8:00. And never really complains about it, she likes night night time for the most part.  She wakes us up every morning yelling 'mommy' at the top of her lungs even though we are only 5 feet away from her room. I keep trying to teach her to call for daddy but she hasn't caught onto the idea yet!

She is a really good listener, most of the time-- she is getting into those terrible two's I keep hearing about though... We have started doing short time-outs here and there and they seem to work but who really knows?? She seems to behave very well when we are out and about, it's those days when we are inside all day long that get to us both!!

She is a little kissy face!! She gives kisses and hugs out like candy, especially to her Daddy. She likes to do Eskimo kisses and Butterfly kisses now too.

I just love Milly so much, and I know that she was really meant to be apart of our family. She has the twin sense of humor (and contagious laugh) as her Dad. With this pregnancy I have been so sick and she has had to see me throw-up quite a few times, and at first I think it kinda scared her, she would cry and run to get Ryan. Ryan would tell her I was just sick but I would be ok. Well after a while of going and running off crying to find Ryan-- It changed, she now stands behind me and pats my bum and says "ok mommy, ok mommy." She is so sweet and sensitive and knows how to really make me feel better.  I am so grateful the Lord has blessed our family with Milly, and I know she is going to use her strong personality to be such an awesome big sister, strength, and example in our home. :)

BABY BLISS

I am really getting to the part I love in pregnancy... the part when I am no longer sick 24/7!!! HA! This pregnancy has been a considerable amount harder, simply because I can no longer lay down and fall asleep any time I feel a little (or a lot) nauseous. But with that said, not a moment passes that I am not SO grateful for this little miracle growing inside me. I already love him/her so much! And Milly has actually been great with it all. She is getting so good at playing and entertaining her little self for almost as long as I need her to.

This is me  at 16 weeks, not a super cute pic, but hey, I am just excited to start looking a little pregnant and little less bloated! :)

And Milly at 16 weeks:

HAHA! She just had to have her belly pics taken too! :) And for the record today I asked her, in several ways-over and over, if she wanted a baby to come live and play with us. She said "NO" every time....haha! Her answer does change everyday, so I am not in the slightest worried about it! I just thought it was funny!

Here is short bonus movie of Milly dancing to one of Ryan's B-day cards. It's nothing too special but it shows how big she is getting lately. I feel like she is so tall and her hair is getting so long!

TOYANT GATHERING 2009

So this post is LONG overdue, but I really wanted to get it on the blog. And I did REALLY bad at getting pics, actually EM- you promised you get those to me..... :)  But here's some I did get!

At the beginning of Aug. my family had a little reunion in Shelley. It was a total blast, not everyone made it out but I did get to see my sister Emily, from Florida that I haven't seen in a while, and my 2 brothers that live in Oregon and their family's.

We went to Jackson Hole and stayed at a cabin. We saw some very pretty scenery, went to the BAR J (of course), and did some shopping.

Milly and Eleanore totally got along really well. Actually all the kids did great! They are all getting to be interested in the same things and played really well.

The boat ride we took to get to the other side of Jenny Lake to hike around.

Milly and her new adopted Aunt Isabel!! Isabel is one of Emily's young women back in FL, she came out to EFY and then spent some time with us in Idaho! Milly totally loved her, well all the kids did! HA!
